How to Manage Your Subscription
Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel — one email does it all.
What You Will Learn
This guide shows you how to manage your via.email subscription — from choosing your first paid plan to upgrading, downgrading, or canceling.
Why is subscribe@via.email the front door for billing changes?
Because the product is intentionally screenless. One command inbox routes you to either fresh checkout links or the Stripe portal without another login surface. That keeps upgrades and downgrades in the same muscle memory as using agents.
How Subscription Management Works
Everything starts with one email:
- To: subscribe@via.email
- Body: Leave blank
What happens next depends on whether you already have an active subscription.
If You Do Not Have a Subscription
You will receive an email with checkout links for each available plan. Each plan shows:
- Plan name and monthly credits
- Key features included
- Monthly and annual pricing options (annual plans offer savings)
Click the link for the plan you want. You will be taken to a secure payment page powered by Stripe to complete your subscription.
If You Already Have a Subscription
You will receive a link to the billing portal where you can:
- View your current plan and billing details
- Change your plan (upgrade or downgrade)
- Update your payment method
- View past invoices
- Cancel your subscription
Available Plans
via.email offers five subscription plans:
- Free — 100 credits/month, built-in agents, help agent
- Economy — 1,000 credits/month, input documents and images, credit rollover
- Premium — 2,400 credits/month, up to 5 custom agents, image output
- Business — 6,000 credits/month, up to 15 custom agents, web search, context files
- First — 12,000 credits/month, up to 50 custom agents, audio/video input, all features
See via.email/pricing for full details and current pricing.
Upgrading
When you upgrade, your new plan takes effect immediately. You receive additional credits right away and gain access to the features of the new plan.
Downgrading
When you downgrade, the change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You keep your current plan's features until then.
Canceling
You can cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle — you will not lose access mid-cycle. After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan.
If your credit balance exceeds the Free plan's accumulation cap, excess credits will be removed.
Payment Issues
If a payment fails, you will receive an email with a link to update your payment method. There is a 72-hour grace period to resolve the issue before any service changes.
