via.email lets you to create AI agents that lives inside your email.

Each AI agent you created lives at a customizable email address that is unique to you. Just send or forward - and they handles the rest.

All without leaving your inbox.
What can I ask via.email to do?
via.email is capable of handling tasks that range from routine communication to complex analysis and creation, such as:

How do I use via.email?
via.email is entirely invisible and works right within your existing email experience, with any email client and on any device.

No mobile app or web dashboard. No download or installation.

Use it simply by sending and receiving emails like how you would email your assistant (If you didn’t have one, now you do).

Does via.email work with my email?
via.email works with all consumer and enterprise email providers (Gmail, Apple Mail, Outlook, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.) and on any device, as it operates entirely through standard email protocols.
How much does via.email cost?
We offer free and various paid plans based on different usages and features. Please refer to the pricing page for details.
Is via.email safe to use?
Yes.

We use enterprise-grade encryption and adhere to a zero-data retention policy for processed emails.

You can trust us with your company’s Q3 financials or your grandma’s secret lasagna recipe.
Is my data used for AI training?
No.

We ensure that your data will NOT be used to train any AI models.
What AI models does via.email use?
We developed an advanced AI powered routing system that automatically selects from our curated collections of state-of-the-art models based on the nature and complexity of your task.

You don’t have to worry about picking the right model, via.email takes care of it.
Getting Started
How do I sign up?
Simply send an email to join@via.email with your first and last name in the subject.

You will receive an auto reply right away with a verification link. Check your spam folder in case of not seeing it after 3 minutes.
Is there a free plan?
Yes.

Each newly registered account is on the Free plan and with monthly free credits.
Do I need a credit card for free plan?
No.

You only need it when upgrading for a paid plan.
How do I log in?
There is no need to log in. Just open your inbox to use via.email through sending and receiving emails.
Do I need a password to sign up or log in?
No.

via.email is password-less and you sign up and log in with magic links sent to your inbox. As long as you can log into your inbox, you can use via.email.

via.email is optimized to hold fluid, complex, and nuanced conversations in over 40 languages, and beyond those, trained to encompasses over 100 languages to perform tasks like translations and summarization with high accuracy.

Are my agents private?
Yes.

Agents are private by default after you create them. Only you have access to view and use them.
Can I pick the AI model myself?
No.

via.email automatically routes your request to the most effective model.
Do I need to remove my email signature when using via.email?
No.

via.email is smart enough to recognize the email signature, and to decide whether it is an useful part of the conversation.
How does address appending work?
To prevent address duplication, we automatically append a numeric suffix if you create or add an agent with an address you already possess.
Why am I not receiving emails from via.email?
First, for complex agent tasks, allow up to 15 minutes for processing.

Second, check your Spam/Junk folder.

And if you are on a corporate network or email system, ensure your IT department did not set up to block via.email.
Do agent management related operations consume credits?
It depends.

Only operations that involving AI processing, such as creating and editing agent, consume credits.
How do I get support?

Agent Creation
How do I create an agent?
Send an email to create@via.email. Put the agent's name in the subject and your instructions in the body.

You can also attach reference files for context (paid feature).
How should I provide instructions to an agent?
Write instructions just like how you would talk to a human assistant.

Can I customize the email address of my agent?
Yes.

You define the name when you create the agent (e.g., Subject: "Translate To French"), which generates the address (e.g., translate.to.french@via.email).
What if someone else creates an agent with the same email address?
It doesn’t matter.

Agent addresses are unique to the owner. Your translate@via.email is completely separate from another user's translate@via.email.
How do I add an agent from the gallery?
Beside creating an agent from scratch, you can browse our agent gallery and quickly add agents in seconds.

Email add@via.email and CC the address(es) of the agent(s) you wish to add (max 5 per email).
Are there reserved email addresses?
Yes.

You can learn about the REA (Reserved Email Addresses).
Agent Usage
How do I use an agent?
Send an email to the agent's address (e.g., summarize@via.email). Include your request in the body (subject is optional). You can also attach files (paid feature). The agent will reply you back shortly.

Just do it the same way as if you are emailing your assistant.
How long does it take for agents to respond?
Most likely between 30 seconds and 2 minutes depends on the complexity of task.
Does via.email work with file attachments in email?
Yes.

via.email support the majority of common file types (pdf, docx, png, csv, etc).

Attachment size and count limits depend on your subscription plan and your own email provider's limits.
Does via.email work without creating an agent?
Yes.

Apart from creating an agent with a reusable instruction which increases productivity for recurring tasks, you can always email help@via.email for a one-time task.
Do agents have memory?
No.

Agents are designed to not retain memory across email threads.

Every task is executed solely based on the instruction and content provided in that specific email thread.
How much credit does a task cost?
Cost varies by input and output token size, AI toolings called (web search for example) and the AI model selected.

You can check the cost of finished tasks by emailing check@via.email.
What happens if I run out of credits?
You can wait for your next billing cycle to reset credit or upgrade your plan for more credits to continue to use immediately.
How can I check my usage?
Email check@via.email and you will receive a detailed report of your usage, remaining credits, and agent quota.

The system also automatically notify you via email when you reach 80% of your credit limit of each billing cycle, as well as when you have no agent quota left.
If I deleted an email conversation with agents, can I retrieve it?
No.

We adhere to a zero-data retention policy, and that means your inbox is the only place storing emails with agents because our server erases those immediately and permanently. If you can not recover any of those emails  from your inbox, it is gone forever.
Is it safe to share sensitive info with agents?
Do not share government classified information, as this requires specialized government-only infrastructure.

Additionally, as a best practice, never share raw credit card numbers, passwords, or account credentials, as these should only ever be entered in dedicated, secure payment or login fields.
Agent Management
How do I see details of my agents?
Send an email to list@via.email, you will receive an auto reply listing all your agents.

Send an email to list@via.email and CC an agent address, you will receive an auto reply including details of that agent.
How do I edit an agent?
Send an email to edit@via.email. CC the agent you want to edit.

You can provide a new name in the subject. Updating the name will NOT change the address, which can NOT be changed after the initial creation of the agent.

You can also provide details on how you want to amend the instruction in the body (no need to provide the entire instruction again).

Context files can not be changed after the initial creation of the agent.
How do I delete an agent?
Send an email to delete@via.email and CC the agent(s) you wish to delete (max 5 per email).

Deletion are immediate and permanent, and it can NOT be undone.
Plan and Billing
Which plan is best for me?
Check out the monthly credit amounts and feature accesses across different plans on our pricing page. Pick the one that best suit your needs.

You can start with one and switch plans at any time.
How do I subscribe, switch, and cancel plan, or update payment and billing info?
Send an email to plan@via.email (no need to write anything in neither subject or body).

You will receive an auto reply with links for subscribing (via Stripe) if you are not currently subscribed to any plans

You will receive an auto reply with magic link to your Stripe portal where you can easily upgrade, downgrade, and cancel plans, or update payment and billing info if you already subscribed.
How is payment processed?
We use Stripe for secure payments.

All plans are recurring and auto-renew.

If you wish to cancel, you should do so at least 3 days before your renewal date to avoid an accidental charge.
Do unused credits roll over?
It depends.

For all paid accounts: unused credits will roll over to the next cycle, and your total credit amount is capped at a maximum of 2x your monthly credit amount of you current plan.

For free account: unused credits will NOT roll over, and your total credit amount is capped at 1,000.

Note that, as a consequence, if you downgrade to a plan (effective immediately) with fewer monthly credits, the credits that exceed the new limit will be removed right away.
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade?
Both upgrades and downgrades happen immediately.

If you want to downgrade, we recommend you to remove any excess agents above the new plan limit before to avoid system enforcement.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes.

Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle.
Can I get a refund?
It depends.

We do not offer no-questions-asked refunds, but we will issue a refund if the service is unusable due to our system errors.

Account Management
Can I transfer my account to a new email?
No.

For security reasons, we cannot transfer accounts between email addresses.

You would have to register a new account.
What if I lose access to my email account?
Since via.email lives in your inbox, losing access to your email means losing access to your account. You must recover access through your email provider.

In the event of losing access to an email soon, make sure you cancel any active subscriptions and delete the via.email account associated with this email.

We can NOT transfer an via.email account to another email for security reasons.

If you already lose access to your email, contact support@team.via.email immediately and we may be help to cancel your subscription and delete your via.email account after verifying your identity.
Will my account be deleted if I am inactive?
It depends.

Accounts with active paid subscriptions remain open indefinitely.

We reserve the right to delete accounts on a free plan after 12 months of inactivity.
How do I delete my via.email account?
First, cancel any active subscriptions and back up any account data if you want to.

Then, email support@team.via.email with your request.

Deleting an account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Others
Is there an affiliation program?
Yes.

Email support@team.via.email with your portfolio and/or social media handles, and a paragraph or two on how you plan to promote via.email. We will get back to you shortly.
Is there a discount for students?
Yes.

You may be eligible to receive 25% off for one year on any plan as long as you are a full-time students at the time of application.

Email support@team.via.email with your expected graduation month and year, as well as clear photos of your student ID (front and back).

You should apply from a registered via.email account with an .edu email address (please explain why in case you are not).

You can renew again in a year with the same method above, if you still meet the student discount requirements.

Student discount can NOT be combined with other offers.
