Textbook: Berk, L.E. Development Through the Lifespan, 8th edition
Topics in order: research methods in developmental psych, prenatal development, infancy (physical + cognitive), infancy (social-emotional), early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, emerging adulthood, early adulthood, middle adulthood, late adulthood, death and dying, contemporary issues
15-week semester, final exam during exam week
Grading: 2 exams (20% each), research paper (25%), weekly reflection journals (15%), class participation (10%), group presentation (10%)
I want a strict but fair late policy, something like 10% per day up to 3 days then zero. Standard academic integrity. Attendance required but I allow 3 unexcused absences.
