Hi!
This is my second year teaching but first time doing the parent presentation solo. I teach 4th grade and need to cover:
- Our reading workshop model with guided reading groups
- Math curriculum focuses on problem-solving and number sense
- Science units: ecosystems, weather, and simple machines
- Homework: 20 min reading plus 1 worksheet max per night
- I use ClassConnect for behavior and parent communication
- Weekly spelling tests and monthly book reports
I am nervous about parents asking about state test prep since testing is in spring. Also worried someone will push back on the new math methods.
