Just got back from the Graystone University Spring Career Fair. Need follow-up emails for these candidates. Our open roles are Junior Software Engineer and Data Analyst.
Candidate notes:
1. Priya Naidu - CS senior, interned at Halloway Systems last summer doing backend work. Asked great questions about our microservices architecture. Seemed most interested in the engineering role. Very sharp.
2. Marcus Tilden - Stats major, graduating in May. Built a sentiment analysis project for his capstone that he walked me through. Good fit for the data analyst role. Mentioned he is also talking to Fenwick Analytics.
3. Soo-Jin Park - CS and business double major. Was not sure whether she wanted engineering or analytics. I told her about the rotation program we are launching in Q3. She seemed excited about that.
4. Adeola Bankole - Masters in data science, finishing in June. Has 2 years work experience before grad school at a logistics company. Overqualified for junior but we do not have a mid-level data role open right now. Want to keep her warm.
