Report card comments - Grade 4 Math and Science
Here are my notes for 3 students, need comments for each (150-200 words per student):
Lily Park - Grade 4
Math: Strong multiplication, struggles with word problems. Improved from C to B this term. Participates actively in group work. Sometimes rushes through tests.
Science: Excellent lab partner. Her volcano project was the most creative in the class. Needs to work on writing up observations more carefully.
Diego Santos - Grade 4
Math: Gifted at mental math, consistently top of class. Gets bored during review sessions. Started tutoring classmates informally which helped his communication skills.
Science: Asks the best questions. Struggles with following multi-step procedures. His curiosity outpaces his patience.
Amara Johnson - Grade 4
Math: Has math anxiety. Working with her one-on-one she can do the work but freezes during timed tests. Made real progress this term with untimed assessments. Her homework is consistently thorough.
Science: Quiet but observant. Her lab notebook is the most detailed in class. Needs encouragement to share ideas during group discussions.
