Hi,
Attached is the October trial balance. Here is what I have flagged so far:
- Prepaid Insurance shows $24,000 but we should be expensing $4,000 per month
- Accrued vacation liability looks low. HR says employees have accumulated about $15,000 more than what is on the books
- New warehouse equipment purchased in August needs depreciation recorded. Cost was $192,000, 5-year straight-line, no salvage. Nothing booked yet for October.
- We invoiced a client $8,000 in October for services to be performed in November. It went straight to revenue.
- The allowance for doubtful accounts has not been adjusted. AR aging shows $6,200 in the 90-plus-day bucket.
